None of these are reasons to stay alive, these just things that people do. “Beware of Tuesdays. And Octobers”…what?

Thanks for the comment, Kevin! Matt Haig is someone who has struggled with depression and thoughts of suicide and has suggested these based on his own experience. I understand that everyone’s experience of mental health issues can be different and thus, a one-size-fits-all approach might not be the best option. However, I do think that these recommendations would open the doors to people struggling with these issues to come up with their own approach to deal with them. As for the second part of your comment, Tuesday is considered a “dark day” and October, a “dark month” for a lot of people struggling with these issues (almost mid-week and away from the weekend for Tuesday, and away from the summer and the new year for October). That is why there is a tip for being aware of Tuesdays and Octobers.

I agree- Thursday is better than Tuesday and the merry month of May much better than October.
